This afternoon was full of laughter and joy as our memory care residents celebrated Halloween together! Everyone looked adorable in their costumes — it was so much fun to see all the creative (and sometimes quite funny!) outfits. The room was filled with smiles as we enjoyed hot cocoa, popcorn, and a lively target game where candy prizes added to the fun. It was a wonderful afternoon of togetherness, laughter, and sweet memories shared by all

One of the most moving moments of our costume party was when one of our residents proudly put on his original Air Force uniform — the same one he wore so many years ago. As he adjusted the jacket and straightened his cap, you could see the pride and emotion shining in his eyes. Though the uniform may fit a little differently now, the honor and spirit it represents have never faded. The joy on his face said it all — a beautiful reminder of service, sacrifice, and the memories that still live so vividly in his heart.

We took some whipped topping, filled our Halloween molds, sprinkled them with chocolate, and froze them to enjoy later in our hot chocolate — perfect for this afternoon’s costume fun!

What a wonderful turnout for today’s trick-or-treating event! The residents’ hearts were truly warmed seeing all the little ones in their adorable costumes. Residents enjoyed a special Chef’s Kitchen demonstration with our culinary chef, Sherwin, who shared his love for sweet potato pie. He talked about its health benefits, shared his favorite recipe, and reminisced about enjoying the dessert as a child how his grandmother used to make it for him!

The residents had such a fun time at our Italian-themed happy hour! 🇮🇹🎶 The afternoon was filled with laughter, great conversation, and a little friendly competition during our Italian trivia game. Everyone enjoyed delicious bites of mozzarella cheese sticks, margherita pizza, bruschetta, and creamy spinach dip, all while Italian music set the perfect mood. The Sgroppino — a refreshing Italian drink made with orange sorbet — was the perfect way to end a truly wonderful afternoon with friends
